Qingdao Tourism Information
Zhanqiao Pier
Built in the eighteenth year of the reign of Qingdao Emperor Guangxu (1892), Zhanqiao Pier has become an integral element in Qingdao memory. At that time, ships entered Qingdao through Zhanqiao Pier. The octagonal pavilion with double-layer eaves – Huilange Pavilion records the development path of the city and has become an important landmark in Qingdao.
Qingdao Brewery Museum
Located at No. 58 Dengzhou Road, Qingdao Beer Museum covers an area of more than 6000 square meters, and composes of 3 tourist areas including century-old beer history and culture, beer production line, multi-function entertainment area. As the only beer museum in China, Qingdao Beer Museum has been a key national preservation unit of cultural relics, a 4A national tourist attraction, and the first national industry tourism model, and has become a pearl of industry tourism.
Badaguan (Badaguan Scenic Area)
It is one of the first top ten “China’s famous historical and cultural streets” and a well-known tourist and health resort. The building group in the spot represents the architectural style of 24 countries including Russia, Germany, Britain, France, America, Japan, Denmark, Spain and Greece, making the spot known as the “World Architecture Expo”.
Mount Lao
Mount Lao comprises three parts: nine scenic spots, five scenic restoration spots, and extended land and sea views. The main peak Jufeng Peak is 1,133 meters above the sea level. Being the highest peak along China’s 18,000 km-long continental coastline, Jufeng Peak is famed as China’s No.1 seaside mountain and a famous Taoist mountain. It was designated by the State Council as a National Park of China. At the same time, it is also a national civilized scenic resort, a national demonstration spot for civilized scenic tourism, and a 5A national tourist attraction.
Guest House
This is a typical German castle. The house has become one of the models of Chinese single villa due to exquisite modeling, gorgeous decoration, beautiful lines and bold colors. During the period of German occupation, it served as the residence of Kiautschou Governor. Since a governor was equivalent to Tidu, a provincial commander-in-chief of the Chinese army in Ming and Qing Dynasties, the building was called “Tidu’s house” at that time. In 1934, it was officially renamed “Guest House” and became an important venue for VIP reception in military and political field.
